The team at Warje decided to take some time and talk to some of our junior customers and find out from them about their ideal toilet. We took some time to sit down with them and instead of telling us what they would like at the community toilet, they decided to show us through organizing a drawing competition among themselves.

As 3S Shramik, we feel that slum sanitation does not only mean providing toilets where there is scarcity of facilities , rampant cases of open defecation or even in the maintenance of existing toilets through providing cleaning services but in achieving total sanitation in all areas of the lives of the people living in slums or informal settlements.

Whenever it comes to providing any services or facilities to the slums, most ideas tend to run towards providing low or substandard products on the basis that people at the base of the pyramid cannot afford any better and thus in some way do not deserve it. Most products that are developed for this segment are often inferior or low budget and sometimes do not satisfy the needs of the people they are trying to serve.
