Andrew's Professional Experience

Andrew a senior consultant in the sustainability and climate change team in PwC UK, will provide outreach and monitoring and evaluation support under the knowledge management function.
Andrew has over 12 years professional experience working with major businesses, industry associations, NGOs, development agencies and developing country governments. Andrew has been focused on the role of Business in International Development since 2001. He leads much of PwC’s Advisory work in this area with NGOs, Corporate Foundation’s and donor foundations including: the Shell Foundation, the Fairtrade Foundation, Oxfam, UNDP, DFID and the World Bank.

Andrew has particularly deep experience in the international Food & Beverage (F&B) sector and has worked with a number of companies in this area. In 2009, for example, he led a seven person team for three months in Zambia working with one of the world’s largest F&B companies and a major international NGO to understand how the company could further improve its development impact. In 2008 he lead a review of SABMiller’s smallholder sourcing programmes in South Africa, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia and India. Other international experience includes working in Ethiopia for 6 months (whilst seconded to the Ethiopian Civil Service in 2004), Kenya and Malawi (through work with the international tea sector).
